I have been lagging ass for some reason. I haven't been out to explore much over the last week.

with all the bad weather we have had here in chicago its a surprise to find anything out there but here is some of what i have found.

Gang Graffiti And Graffiti Art: Whats The Difference?

Gang Graffiti and graffiti that evolved from the 80's hip hop movement are often mistaken to be related but they are not.


Typically gang members use graffiti as a way to claim their set or neighborhood where they have one of their bases of operations. where if members of other enemy gangs go into their territory a beating or death may be a result of being in the wrong neighborhood

Graffiti Art

Is what the call lettering scratched, scrawled, painted or marked in any manner on property. Graffiti artist have nothing to gain but seeing their own names up they do not use their graffiti as a way to claim territory the way gangs do.

So remember although they might look the same they are not

a few days after the fatal accident dedications to afroe and evol are springing up. Due to the bad weather i haven't photographed as many as i wanted but ill post them up as i find them

Made this the day i found out about what happen it was Just a way of showing some respect to a couple of dope artist. I used some sky shots i had taken before hand as a background.

Another Hard Hit For The Chicago Graffiti Scene

Today chicago suffers another blow to the graffiti scene not only losing one but two of our brothers in a fatal car crash they were taken away by the carelessness of someone who was paid to protect and serve our city's citizens.

So please people do not drink and drive!

In this case it was someone's son, brother, boyfriend, Friend and or even role model. These were two young people who were barely beginning to live their lives, now they will never experience the joy of having families of their own or any of the other wonders of life.

Condolences to their Friends, Families, and Crews

On another note we also lost another Chicago legend Kep Xmen THC.
