About Me

My photo
I am from Chicago one of the most overlooked cities when it comes to graffiti or anything else.I started taking pictures of graffiti in the fall of 05' and instantly got hooked. My goal is to put Chicago on the map to show that not only L.A. and New York have a thriving graffiti scene. One day i plan to turn this hobby into a 9 to 5. I want to show people the many wonders this world has to offer through my photography. I want to expose them to the things they turn a blind eye to on a daily basis to make them realize that there is more to the world then the cubicle that surrounds them.

Chicago's Second Cities

My man Matt Tuteur is back in action with yet another gallery. This time bringing back the cabrini green housing projects from the dead. A man who knows no fear when it comes to the documentation of Chicago's neglected buildings and neighborhoods he will give you an inside look into a neglected part of Chicago history.

Matt Tuteur Urban Explorer

Living in a city like Chicago there is alot of urban decay. Factories and buildings that were part of an economic boom back in the day. Today those empty buildings scattered throughout the different neighborhoods of the city that are waiting to get the wrecking ball. While many see these places as an eyesore, Matt see's as an opportunity to document and preserve the Chicago of yesteryear. If it was not for people like Matt, there would be no record of many of these buildings that we take for granted. With the rise of "cookie cutter houses and condos" springing up in Chicago it is only a matter of time before the past is erased by generic houses and glass buildings.

His explorations are not just isolated to Chicago but also surrounding Midwest states.

check out his collection of photos from many of Chicago's forgotten building which include Cook County Hospital,Washburn Trade School,Cabrini Green Housing Projects and Edgewater Hospital
